The Barclays Let’s Talk Business programme is a series of tailored seminars dedicated to those that are looking to set up in business. Nearly 6000 people benefited from attending a Let’s Talk Business event in 2009 alone – and 99% would recommend them to others.

Following the success of the 2009 Let’s Talk programme, Barclays and NFEA are continuing this series of free events in 2010. If you are looking to set up in businesses, attending a Barclays Let’s Talk seminar could be the first step on the ladder.

Managed nationally by NFEA, seminars are delivered by enterprise support organisations across England and feature two distinct types of event;

Let’s Talk Business Ideas

Every great business has started with a simple idea. Perhaps you’re in need of an idea? Whilst we can’t come up with one for you, we can help you explore opportunities that use the knowledge and skills you already have.

These half day events are aimed at those in the early stages of deciding whether self employment is for them. Content includes vision setting, what can go wrong and how to research your idea as well as where to go next.

 To book your place at this seminar:

  1. Check the events list for an event in your county
  2. Select the event most convenient for you
  3. Contact the enterprise agency co-ordinating the event to reserve your place.

Let’s Talk Starting in Business

Many new business ideas fly no further than the drawing board. The Let’s Talk Starting in Business seminars will give you the tools to help your business take off. Attending this seminar is an excellent opportunity to get free information, talk to other local new business starters and swap experience and contacts.

This full day event is aimed at those who are almost ready to start their business (up to four months away). Content covers issues such as finance, marketing, time management, negotiating skills, networking and writing a business plan.

To book your place at this seminar:
